The [glow=yellow,2,300]Flamethrower![/glow]
In Titagasman, there are many differant gameplay styles to go with the platforming. In some levels, you'll get acsess to a cool flamethrower which allows you to, well, burn things. In a sense, each level has something unique about it. In some levels you climb walls. In some you smash graves. Now, you can burn things down with the flamethrower.
When you have the flamethrower, you are essentially invincible if you hold down the button. But be warned-if you overdo it, you'll run out of gas and you'll need to recharge. When your tank is out, you can get hit by enemies and they will die, but you will lose the flamethrower. It's best to burn down the essential things first, and have fun with it later.
When you're out of gas, you just have to wait for the bar to reload. But are you able to experiment with other fluids? You'll have to see.

News: Icons!
Icons appear frequently throughout the game. They're fun to get, and you unlock them by collecting the multicolored orbs in the 6 episodes (each episode contains 5 - 7 platforming levels, with a boss at the end). To get an orb (orange, red and green definately exist, with other colors not decided), you must do some gimmick-related event in a level. Sometimes you'll have to go through a level not killing enemies. Sometimes you won't. The gimmicks haven't all been decided upon.

Now presenting: The Titanese Mark III Putino Brand Flamethrower!
This handy, collapsable fire-gun is found in several later levels. As said before, you don't want to run out of gas, or you'll have to get a power cloud to re-fuel. What are power-clouds? They return from the very first Titagasman game, before the game went public. Don't worry if you don't remember them;this version was never made public other than by a short bio on the old JT site. Anyways, the clouds have 3 differant abilities. Some have prizes in them, some have fuel for your fire tank. But, you won't see them as frequently in the beginning as in the end.
The flamethrower concept art has been made public to the folks at Crash Mania, but I have something I want to keep exclusive for here. What is it? That I cannot say. But, it will be big. Literally.
Here's a few more quick pics on the flamethrower before I end this:
- It'll appear in atleast one underground level, probably the subway.
- It can kill almost anykind of enemy except those with fire already somewhere on them.
- There are flamethrower-exclusive bonus areas to get extra lives on.
- It's power never depletes idly.
- It might utilize some of Titan's rare chemicals, and may be able to shoot water to kill pesky fire enemies.

Enemy Profile: Vulcnok
Vulcnoks are native to North Titan. These pesky...err...things, have been a foe of both races of Titans since the beginning of Titan. They have firey tempers, as showned by their tendancy to erupt the volcanoes on their back at the slightest bit of anger. You'll have to use some clever thinking to kill off these guys. The flamethrower's water tank should be enough to put them out.

Urania Gasman
Tita's younger brother is back from the side of evil to aid him. He's got a few special levels late in the game where he puts his special ancient weaponry to good use. Utilizing an anicent rod he stole from the Eon Lord before leaving him, he can take down most enemies in a single blow. It, like the flamethrower, can be used to do other things than what it's name suggests. Urania can use it as a bridge when combined with his acrobatic skills, which makes for a varied gameplay in his levels.

Enemy Profile: Zelekzisfip
The Zelekziskip have a hard to pronouce name, as you see. These creatures have scythes on their arms, to begin with. However, these scythes are used to scare foes off moreless. These angry little guys are roughing up the highway to Oros City, and the police aren't doing much about it, but that's for another profile. Anyways, these creatures move using slimy tentacles, complimented by their short and rough furs. An ordinary thrust won't kill them, but if you try to blast through the area using your X attack, you might be able to knock them into a pile of Skull Acid...
Skull Acid
This is a gross fluid concocted by the Eon Lord. He's made two kinds: yellow and purple. The yellow Skull Acid is in little beakers scatter across the places the Eon Lord has probed on the planet. It'll blow up upon contant with certain Titanese animals, and the Titans themselves (both races). Beware of the yellow skull acid, but use it to your advantage by killing of foes of epic proportions.
Purple Skull Acid will be elaborated upon later tonight.

Urania Gasman As you can see, the above description of Urania was crossed out. This is because a number of the features listed have been replaced. Rest assured that he is still very unique from Titagasman though.

Small Update for Today: Locations
Titan is a very broad planet. It has a number of differant locations, which include Scarland Plains, Oros City, and the Native Island. Because of this, you're getting a big amount of unique locations. To put it simple, the same level theme will never be used more than twice.

Today's Update:
Boss Rounds
In every game, you fight a boos. Well, it might appear obvious, but Titagasman has 5 boss rounds plus a bonus extention to the last one after the normal game is beaten 100%. The first boss, Gordon, attacks you with his blade, which may seem a bit rough, but is easy to defeat. Defeat him in a boss round and you unlock a new series of levels to play on the Native Islands. By the way, you fight him on a hoverbridge. Avoid the pits in the ground; hungry Titan eating creature will snag you if you are unfortunate enough to take a dive.

Today's Update: Special Effects In Titagasman, the primary driving force behind the game is the graphics. The current graphics for the first 3 levels already make the game slower to load. Needless to say, to save load times, something must be done. But rest assured that the graphics will be the same top-tier ones you've already come to expect from the screenshots. So from that, I'm gonna talk about... EFFECTS! Titagasman's great graphics don't come directly from just awesome texture and pretty backgrounds. One of the main pillars of the game's visuals is derived from a slew of special effects and particles. Here's a list of what is already ingame: - Smoke: This effect is produced from the volcano shown in the first level. - Sparks: Usually emitting from faulty devices in more technologically based levels, they are abundant in appearence and will sometimes die out for added effect. - Dripping Water: In some greenhouse stages, the pipes at the top of the screen drip watery particles. They always go away if hit by any object, like real dripping water. - Small birds/insects : Moreless an effect rather than a particle, these fellas never hurt Tita, and will usually fly off when Tita approaches. - Reflecting Windows/Icy Effect: Oros City has these in it's levels. A reflection of Tita is cast as he walks by. - Weather: Fogginess, rain, you name it. These particles are added for realism in some of Titan's darker stages, like the Graveyard. - Casting Light: Whenever a lamp or streetlight will appear, it'll probably cast a glare on nearby objects. An example would be the tunnel lights in the highway theme. - General Effects: Exploding Skull Acid, stricken fruits, ect. cause small particles to drizzle out of objects. - Enemies: Dying enemies usually have some special effect to go with their dying animation. FUTURE EFFECTS: These ones are being considered for future levels. Chances are some might be left out if deemed unusable or inadequet. - Flying ash: If used for a volcanic level, this would constantly rain down from the skies. - Junk / Leaves: In windy levels, this would be a very important way to show the windiness. Tita's cape would also fly with the wind. - Smog: Pumping out of machinery, this effect would be well suited for the Eon Lord's levels. - Translucent smoke/fog: Moreless a techincal issue. I'll try my hardest to put this in. More to come.

Well, for reasons beyond my control, reflecting windows had to be cut. I might try to implement them again later, but it's not a priority.
Level 4 is being designed now! The game also has a set release for December 2008. Mark your calenders!

Today's Update:
Area Study - Scarland Plains
This area is home to Level 1, Fungus Fields. Tita Gasman levels here with Urania, in their Titanium Alloy house. Bordering on a small ocean and the Great Titan Oros Highway, it contains many unique creatures, with the odd totem statue here and there. It was the first place to be explored on North Titan, and Oros City, North Titan's capital, was built on the land nearby. Mushrooms and trees are everywere, with bushes and tall grass covering old pillars of ancient buildings. The Vultryte volcano can be seen from here.

Today's Update:
Update List:
Every Friday, a new update is posted on this thread. What kinds of updates could come? There is: - Musical Update: Rare, but worth the wait. Features a new music download. - Area Study: We look into a setting on Titan, usually one that covers 2 or 3 level themes. - Character Profile: You get to meet one of the characters in a complex description of them. - Enemy Profile: Shows an enemy's sprite, ptofiling, and weaknesses. Good for demo play. - Gameplay Update: These include Special Effects, Boss Rounds, ect. A miscellanous breed. - Video Update: Rarer than the music updates. Shows either a new trailer or cutscene. - Demo: There's been one so far, and I won't be making a new one until mid-next year.
Now, for the meat of the update...
Enemy Profile: Sluggy (small breed) Squishy and bloblike, these creatures inhabit all differant parts of Titan. The adapt to their environments with ease, and come in several colors. They smother the first thing they see, which does not affect most other creatures of Titan, but usually kills or seriously harms Titans. Some keep them as pets. Their tender spot is their annetena, but you can try using a blast of energy.

Today's Update: I've been doing TONS of sketches for the game lately. Level design is boring me because I hate making the tiles for the level I'm working on. Anyways, I also started working on the FMVs. Here's a preview of the opening one with the Trickster and the Eon Lord. Neat, huh? Of course, I must add the backgrounds and such to it. Well, tata for this week. Remember: Titagasman is a stone throws away for release in 2008! Start saving up!

Today's Update: New Enemy! This fellow is a sluggy that was experimented on by the Green Skull Acid, a powerful component of all things evil. Needless to say, it's twisted and molded the poor creature into the monster you will soon see before you. However, at this point the Green Skull Acid mix had not yet been perfected, so the creature will transform back to a normal sluggy if his by it's one weakness: Bright Light. At first, the switch for a light cannon will be nearby, but late in the game you will have to backtrack and risk life and limb just to turn on the cannon. Don't even try to jump over it or on it: you'll die. Will this creature attack you directly? It might swipe at you, so watch your back.

Today's Update:
Area Study - Oros City
The sprawling capital of North Titan, this city virtually occupies all of the Scarland Plains. In fact, it covers 77% of them. It continues to grow even now with rumors of it entering the Titanese sea in form of something similar to oil rigs on Earthican waters. The city is incredibly rich, being able to afford and maintain bustling night clubs, towering apartment complexes, and full 3-D neon light advertising. However, many don't find this appealing, and live in smaller homes scatter across the remaining land of the entire Titave Island, only venturing into the city for buisness, activities, and food. Despite the large sums of money, there is simply not a large enough number of willing Titans to risk fixing up certain broken patches of buildings, thus leaving entire floors of a complex abandoned. During Titagasman, the city is under attack by Eonnous Authority and is placed in complete lockdown, with security bots attacking anything they see and laser protection systems on full power.

Today's Update: Titanese Food and Beverage
Not nessecarily a gameplay update, but this gives ya insight to what Titanese cuisine is.
-------------------------------------------NATURAL FOODS-------------------- Titan is galacticly renowned for it's ability to grow some of the most delicous natural foods from the stars.
Revlis Fruit: The most nutritious natural food in the entire galaxy. They are quite delicious, with a mixed berry taste.
Golden Revlis Fruit: These rare crops are every Titanese cultivater's dream. Much healthier and bountiful flavorwish than the silver counterparts, they sell for extremely high profits. These have a flavor as if a mixed set of berries was blended with rich chocolate. Can be brewed to make Titanese Ale, which true Titans like.
Narvocotian Redcloud: These appear spontaniously in areas all over Titan. They were introduced in 1672 (Earthican Time) by Narvocotian galactic explores. They instantly can rejuvinate any create that they penetrate into. Strong, sweet flavor.
Narvocotian Orangecloud: Like the red ones, these grow out of nothing more than nutrients in the area. These ones, however, bond with Revlis Fruit, therefore containing the essence of what is equivilant to 10 inside each.
Narvocotian Greencloud: Unlike the other varities, green ones can only grow over top of other fruits, clouds, or moisture. Basically, they appear to be similar to capsules, with a bitter flavor.
Narvocotian Bluecloud: These ones charge up raw energy inside you to allow you to create a focused blast of energy. Fresher taste.
Marcusite Root Plant: Grows deep, deep under the surface. It truely is hard to get these up and out of the ground. However, they are tasty.
Scarland Mushrooms: These taste similar to Earthican oranges, but with more pulp. They contain no nutrition, but are good for snacking on.
Poargus Meats: Hunted down Poargus can be the origin of several tasty and zesty dishes.
Scarland Grain: Huge, high wielding crops. A single strand can make four flatbreads.
Khune: Rare and very tasty seed fruits that are found on the northwest half of Titan. -----------------------------------------DISHES--------------------------------- Titanese chefs can make anything out of anything.
Revlis Cocktail: Mixing Revlis fruits with certain beverages produces a delicious treat for any Titan over the age of 21.
Scarland Whip: Tasty juice mixed with golden Revlis.
Revlis Ranyt: This is a very famous North Titan pastry. The Revlis fruits are fried in a pan, drizzled with fine Gold Revlis juices, then baked into a triangular shaped-donut-like crust.
Farmer Ed's High Octive Old Fashioned Pro-Vitamin Goose Powered Nerve Tonic: Too long a name? Just call it Fehogt. It's make from the extracted oils of a Titanese goose and it grants the drinker incredible stability.
Khune Noveden: The fruits are baked between two Titanese flatbreads made from Scarland Grain. One quarter is pressed and sealed by Revlis butter to make a book-like shape.
Pontos Drink: Very strong brewed coffee made from orange Skull Acid, found and mined from Saturn's internals. Not harmful to health.

SPECIAL SATURDAY UPDATE:
Bonus Rounds:
The Bonus Rounds are acsessed after collected the hidden Energy Atom in a level. They don't appear on the beaten path, so you'll need to do some spleunking. These atoms are made up of the pure Vigoron energies, which are found in the Golden Switches and in the Revlis Fruits. When you find one, you are instantly teleported to a hidden part of the level, which is above the level itself, underground in the level, or on a seperate path from the level. This secret route has extra challanges to test your skills. If you beat the hidden path, you'll be rewarded with a bronze disc for your troubles and will return to the level's main path.
It is said that some levels contain out-of-place objects that may appear to be a differant color and will warp you to hidden paths in other levels for even greater prizes, but the authenticity of these claims are for you to check...

Today's Update: Sartyl
Enemy Profile:
Sartyl are creatures that resemble what a fish would look like if crossed with a bird. Like the Sluggie, they are highly vunerable, and can be taken out with a simple thrust, jump, or fireball. They mainly reside near Oros City, as they feed on the electricity that exists in the air using their dual feelers. The long, blue beak extends while eating or attacking other, and is semi-valuable on the Galactic Market. Along with the Sluggie, a Sartyl is the most common subject the Eon Lord tests on with Skull Acid.

Today's Update: Oros City Police Force
Out on full force after reports of several strange objects landing and taking readings of the planet, these guys are able to spot Tita from afar and begin tracking him down. They enforce the law on their roads, and do a pretty good job at it. Even though you're a fellow Titan, there are reports of spies and traitors on the loose, and Tita's supernatural green color only makes him look more suspicious. Steer clear of the main path if you hear sirens. Of course, this is only because of the circumstances concerning the Oros Area, and any other time, they'd just give a friendly wave and leave Tita alone.

Regular Updates Restart Today:
Today's Update:
Boss Profile: Titanium Ant
This massive battle station of titanic proportions is truly the pinnacle of Eonnous technology. Designed by none other than the Eon Lord's right hand man, the Trickster, the Titanium Ant has a wide array of weaponry and can dock with several other Eonnous Ships, turning them into part of it's almost-invincible system. The Eon Lord plans to steal valuable Platanium resources from Titan and turn this beastly machine into a powerhouse of unlimited boundaries. Of course, it contains the finest Eonnous recruits aboard it to man it's several stations. However, the true power dwells inside it's incredible AI, which is far more superior than any organic brain could hope to be. If it were to somehow be destroyed, the AI chip could always be recover and intergrated into a smaller, more compact version, which is roughly twice the height and density of a North Titan, which requires no crew atall, and is more suitable for running important tasks on inhospitable (atleast to the Eons and Titans) planets and systems.

Yesterday's Update: Skull Acid Mines
These are powerful devices that are triggered by either touching them or by special switches. They, unlike normal yellow Skull Acid Beakers, are able to blow up Ancient Blocks, those brown patterned stones that are activated by the golden switches. Use these mines to your advantage by tearing down walls that may hide goodies, or even just let you pass through a level. But beware - these are obviously not to be directly touched.

Today's Update: The Titagasman Wipe Out
This is an incredibly powerful attack Titagasman can use. It instantly kills all foes hit. This is how it goes:
1. When the attack is used, Tita will crouch down for a moment to charge. 2. When he turns reddish, press S quickly, or he will lose the move. 3. Upon pressing, he will release an ultra powerful series of diamond shaped rings which go in different directions. If they hit a solid object, they will not disappear. They only go away after they hit a foe or are offscreen. 4. After this, Tita crouches again for a second before going back to normal.
It may sound alright, but remember this: - When the move is being prepared, Tita can be struck. - If S is not pressed fast enough, Tita will be stunned for a moment. - If this move is used over a pit, Tita will still fall in.
But wait! There is more!
Tita must break 3 glass cases which hold red/gold clouds. Most levels do not have these, but those swarming with hard to beat enemies always have them hidden somewhere. Tita can only use this move once a level, though, so use it wisely.
